Введение
The yoke plate, also referred to as the clevis plate, constitutes an essential component of string hardware used to couple various electrical fittings such as clevises, socket tongues, or insulators. It is commonly found on overhead power lines and power transmission systems. Functionally, the yoke plate facilitates the connection of insulators to the cross arm on one end and the conductor termination on the other. Depending on their geometric configuration, yoke plates are categorized into triangular, rectangular, and irregular shapes.
Yoke plates serve as multi-connection hardware designed to balance load and distribute mechanical forces across multiple insulator strings or devices. The engineering designs employed by FERR incorporate solutions for straight-line, angle, and dead-end structural applications, ensuring adaptability across diverse power transmission requirements.
FERR’s yoke plates are fabricated from high-grade carbon steel with a thickness exceeding 16 mm. Notably, the raw material used does not exhibit any welded or jointed sections, thereby enhancing its structural integrity. Before engaging in mass production, FERR’s quality control department conducts rigorous testing to ensure material reliability and prevent operational failures or safety incidents.
The manufacturing process employs oxy-arc cutting technology, which results in smooth sections devoid of uneven surfaces. Additionally, the punching of holes in FERR yoke plates is achieved using a 140-ton punching machine for precision and uniformity.
To augment durability and resistance to environmental stressors, the surface of each FERR yoke plate undergoes hot-dip galvanization. This coating process imparts robust protection against corrosive factors such as high humidity conditions (up to 100%), salt exposure, heavy pollution, dust accumulation, and prolonged solar radiation. As a result, the yoke plates remain resistant to rust and maintain their structural and operational integrity over time.
