A double arming bolt, also referred to as a double threaded bolt, double ended bolt, or DA bolt, encompasses various designs based on thread length, including all-thread bolts and standard double threaded bolts.
Our Double Arming Bolts are specifically engineered for attaching cross arms on opposite sides of utility poles, ensuring balanced load distribution and structural integrity. FERR offers these bolts in both square-head and dome-head versions, featuring precise threading and a high-quality finish.
Double ended bolts are extensively utilized in pole line and cross arm construction. When all-thread bolts pass through the pole, they are locked securely at both ends by nuts and washers. Additionally, one end is typically connected to eye nuts for applications requiring dead-end anchoring.
The double threaded bolt plays a crucial role in scenarios where two cross arms need to be mounted on a single pole. It fastens the spacing between the cross arms while securing them firmly in place. This configuration ensures the cross arms remain stable on the pole, complemented by the cross arm brace assembly for enhanced support.
FERR double ended bolts are crafted from durable steel rods. Their threads are produced using a rolling swaging process with hardened profiled rollers—a method that provides superior strength compared to traditional machining using cutting tools.
