Aluminum Support for ADSS

The Aluminum Support for ADSS (FAS) serves as essential hardware for fiber optic cable installations, specifically designed to support and secure All-Dielectric Self-Supporting (ADSS) cables. This versatile component can be mounted onto utility poles or other structures and is particularly advantageous in aerial installations, reducing costs by facilitating pull-through mechanisms during setup.

Engineered to firmly attach ADSS cables, the FAS accommodates the cable’s natural curvature while ensuring effective load distribution. FERR specializes in custom manufacturing these supports to cater to diverse pole diameters and cable dimensions, providing tailored solutions for varied applications.

The FAS features a compact design that integrates a bolt or band mount with a base and keeper connected via an interlocking hinge. This thoughtful construction allows easy access to the cavity area, simplifying installation. Additionally, soft polyurethane cushion inserts are included to secure the cable gently, avoiding excessive pressure that could cause damage.

Ideal for short-span and low-tension ADSS fiber optic installations, the FAS is built to handle vertical loads up to 1000 pounds (4.4 kN). It also supports multi-cable configurations, thanks to its robust base, which offers ample stability at both the mounting bolt and band entry points, enabling effective stacking when needed.
