Anchor rod are a vital component of utility poles as well as telephone pole systems, and are known by specialized names such as anchor rods, anchor ropes, thimble rods, and thimble eye anchors. Their function is to achieve ground stability of the poles using a solid connecting structure.
As the connecting medium between the anchor and the ground hardware, FERR produces anchor rods in a variety of sizes and options, including different diameters, lengths and end fittings, to meet the needs of various anchoring systems. This product is designed to ensure that its role is efficient in a wide range of application scenarios.
One end of the anchor is engaged with the stay wire through an anchor clip, while the other end is secured to a variety of ground anchors buried in the ground. The tension provided by the anchors allows the wire rod to be firmly embedded in the ground, thus maintaining structural stability.
Based on specific needs and design features, anchors can be categorized into cross plate anchors, expansion anchors, skate anchors, wrenchless anchors, and rock anchors. Different types of anchors are suitable for different geological conditions and mechanical requirements, demonstrating their flexibility and adaptability in the engineering field.
The shape of the anchors can be processed to form single, double and triple strand eyes; some models are equipped with elliptical eyes and a matching number of wire rope thimbles. All thimbles are precisely sized to fit the standard stay wire strands, further ensuring structural stability and ease of operation.
Due to their excellent physical properties, anchors exhibit high fatigue and weather resistance and can withstand storms and disasters in the natural environment. The use of high-quality anchors is of key importance in the installation of overhead power lines to ensure safety and long-term stability.
However, it is important to note that the locations where anchors are susceptible to rusting are usually centered around 30 cm above ground and 50 cm below ground. Considering the corrosive effects of the underground environment on metal materials, the design process is often designed to increase durability by thickening the diameter by 2 to 4 millimeters to ensure long-term use.
